Prof. Loredana Padurean is an award-winning global educator, entrepreneur, author and public speaker with experience in Switzerland, Italy, India, Malaysia and USA. Prior to joining Northeastern University, she spent almost 8 years in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as the Senior Associate Dean of a new business school established in collaboration with MIT Sloan, Asia School of Business. She taught in India, Switzerland, Italy and gave global talks on 4 continents!
In July 2022, she was the recipient of the “Distinguished Woman Entrepreneur Lifetime Achievement Award” given at the World Women Economic & Business Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In December 2023, she was the recipient of the Teaching Award for Innovation and Excellence at DMSB and in. She won twice the prestigious Swiss National Research Grant.
As an MIT Sloan Lecturer, she has taught in multiple MIT executive programs and entrepreneurship bootcamps. A public and TedX speaker, she shared the stage with famous entrepreneurs, dignitaries, authors, and influencers, but her favorite stage continues to remain the classroom.
Prof. Padurean is the author of “The Job is Easy, The People are Not – 10 Smart Skills to Become Better People” and “The Innovation Odyssey – Nail it, Scale it, Sail it” in collaboration with MIT Sloan Professor Charles Fine.
Loredana holds a BA in International Relations from Babes Bolyai, Romania, an MA in Economics and Communication and a PhD in Management from Universita della Svizzera Italiana, Lugano, Switzerland.
Known by her students as the “unconventional professor” due to her direct, no-nonsense approach, she is animal lover, and an under covered introvert who loves nothing more than to write in her country house in surrounded by pets and plants.
